Divine Interface - Hug Motivation
With jams like this, it’s the details and the spots between the percussion that hit the hardest. The wait for the next hit, the drop, whatever. After chilling in what seems like a weightless chamber, we’re chugging along in a contemplative state. Throw in an instantly-relatable vocal sample and you’ve got yourself a great end to an EP that was far more beautifully restrained, relaxed, and ethereal than expected. It’s a great thing that this sound has found its way to the ATL, but what’s more surprising (and exciting) is the authenticity. Gone is the call to the club - this is headphone music that also sounds fucking great on your monitors.
